This entry is mostly for me so I will remember all the cute little things Kynadi says all the time. She always brightens my day when she talks (which is all the time).
One of my favorite things Kynadi says is, "Mommy you can sit next by me. It makes me happy when you sit next by me". This is said almost everyday at breakfast. I love it.
In the car as we drive to Kindermusik, storytime, church or whereever, I ofter hear Kynadi from the back, "Mommy I'm excited to go to ..... This makes me smile everytime I hear it. Just something in her voice is so content and happy to be doing whatever we have on the agenda that day.
Almost every night at dinner she says, "oh thank you mommy, this is sooo yummy". It's said with such a sweet sincere voice. I can't help but love my sweet little bean!!
Kynadi always wants to draw pictures for people. Then she will tell me that when the special person sees it, they will say, "oh thank you Kynadi". It is just so cute to hear her voice announce how happy they will be to get her gift. Plus I just love to hear her say her own name...she pronounces it more like, Kin-da-dee.
As Kynadi was saying her prayers the other night, she abruptly stopped and asked me, "wait mommy, what did we do yesterday", she gets time references like yesterday mixed up, so I wasn't sure what she was looking for since we hadn't done anything. Plus I was wondering why she had just stopped her prayer to ask me this. She then tried to get it out of me by asking if we went to story time or Kindermusik. I told her we hadn't gone anywhere yesterday but we had gone to kindermusik today. So then she continues her prayer, saying she was thankfull for Kindermusik. I thought this was so cute. Whenever we say prayers with her we say we are grateful for whatever little activity we did that day(if any), so I thought it was precious that she had to stop to ask what we had done so she could be thankful for it.
Then along these same lines. Another night as we were praying, she was trying to say something about Kindermusik. I don't remember all the details but she had stopped her prayer again. Somehow we got onto a similar discussion about praying about being grateful for the activities we get to do. I used Kindermusik as an example and told her how we are thankful that we get to go have fun there. She then tells me that we should write Miss Carrie (her teacher) a thank you note and that "that would be really nice" and "that will make her happy". I thought this was cute too, that she correlated being grateful with writing a "thank you" note. The funniest part is she hasn't forgotten it. We went to Kindermusik yesterday, and at the end she gasped and said, "oh!, we forgot to color Miss Carrie a note". So I think we'll have to do that for next week. :)
Kynadi also keeps us in line. Whenever John and I argue, Kynadi will alway burst in, "Daddy you're not supposed to yell at mommy" or vice-versa, but John usually is the recipient of the remark..which really annoys him since he's not really yelling, just talking sternly. I usually enjoy when she's putting John in his place. Not so fun when she says it to me though :)
Also, the other day she was at church waiting with my mom, when she heard my mom talking with another lady. My mom said somthing like, "well I'd really hate to see that..." Kynadi again butted in and told grandma, "we don't say hate!" My mom was a bit confused and had to really think about what she had said since she was not using "hate" in a mean way like Kynadi was thinking. Nothing like having a two year old correct your language in front of people at church! Funny Funny
Anyway, these are just a few of the sweet things I hear come out of Kynadi. She is really such a caring little girl. For being so young she is already full of compassion and love. She wants to make sure everyone is happy and really is just sweet. I can't think of any other way to explain her character. I'm soooooooo lucky to be her mom. What a blessing she is!

"The Kids"
Well, Kynadi's creativity never ceases to amaze me. Just lately she has decided she has pretend friends. She calls them "the kids". I think they first came about last week at church when Grandma brought her home. She made sure grandma buckled them up and told Grandma all about them. When I heard about this I thought it was cute....that was until the next day when "the kids" came with us to run errands.
I went to get my car registered and while we where there Kynadi was playing with the door. I was afraid she was going to smash her hands so I told her to come in the room all the way and sit on the couch. She then explained to me, very seriously, almost upset, that "the kids" were still out there (meaning in the hall) and that she was just waiting for them to come in. So I told her to get the kids in and have them sit on the couch with her. So she told the kids what needed to happen and she got on the couch along with "the kids". She was sitting there very content with the kids. Then a woman came in and sat right down on the couch...Squashing the kids!!! I'm sure she didn't mean to, in fact she acted like she didn't even see them, (go figure) . Anyway, I thought this was going to cause trauma for Kynadi and I looked at her and she looked at me a bit concerned, but then she continued to smile and be happy. She didn't say anything at this point and I was quite relieved she let this incident slide by. Well, a little later when I had finally finished, I turned to Kynadi and told her to come on. She started to follow me out the door, but in the door way she must have realized "the kids" were not following her. She suddenly turned around and sternly talked to the kids, "Kids!, Kids!" She was quite upset with them for not coming like they were supposed to. Sooooo funny! There was a line of people watching and of course there were some laughs at this whole incident. Well, once we got the kids out the door, we had to make sure they got in the car with us and Kynadi let me know they were buckled up next to her. Then off to the post office.
The post office was about the same. We had the same incident of "the kids" not following us out the door when we were ready to leave. Kynadi again turns around (to nothing) and starts trying to get the kids attention. "Kids, Kids!" she'd say. The second "kid" was said with much more sternness and annoyance in her voice. It was so funny, yet a bit annoying at the same time. It's one thing for your child to have a pretend friend, it's a much different thing to have to wait for these friends everywhere we go!

First Time Sledding
We've had lots of storms here recently and John decided the other day to build a little sledding hill for Kynadi off my parents back steps. It turned out pretty good and Kynadi LOVED going down it. Don't mind me in my PJ's --that's normal for me until about noon. :)
Little Miss Brooklyn is growing
Brooklyn is definately getting bigger. I took her in for her check up a few weeks ago and they said at 7 months she is the size of an average 9 month old. She's too cute. She finally got her top two teeth to break through within the last week and now grinds them together like crazy. The sound drives my mom nuts! Also she just started to figure out how to crawl like a normal baby does.:) Before she ended up with her head on the floor, as the pictures show. She's still not too fast, but she's catching on. And just today she's figured out she can grab onto things and pull herself up. She LOVES standing up against things. It's still really new though and she isn't too steady... definately needs a spotter. She's such a funny little 
girl; instead of little baby gaga's and goo goo's she just screaches and yells. I'm serious --no quiet little noises just aprupt shouts and screams. In fact today she was doing it and Kynadi says, "Mommy Brooklyn has to go outside to scream." Too Funny! I'll have to make sure to record it soon.

Taxes are DONE!!!
This is a boring post...but I'm proud to say my taxes are done. In fact they were complete before February. This is quite impressive considering I still have not seen the return from my 2006 taxes---that's how long it took me to get those done. Anyway...once this year's returns come I'll have the down payment for our "new" house...which is a dump and needs tons of work, but it is a house. YIPEE!!

10 Years Ago: I was starting my second semester of college at Ricks...took me almost the full ten years to finish it seems!
5 Things on my to-do list today: Well the days amost over so 5 things for tomorrow are:
1. talk to mortgage companies about getting a loan
2. gather tax papers (perhaps I'll get them done before April and not have to file an extention this year--probably not though)
3. give Brooklyn a bath since apparently she went to bed with too much rice cereal still stuck to her face (my mom would have perfered that had happened tonight :) )
4. Figure out what's wrong with my printer
5. Clean!
Snacks I enjoy: Anything with chocolate, and popcorn
Things I would do if I were a billionaire: Build my Dream house, buy a blue ray DVD player for my husband so I wouldn't have to hear about it anymore, save for my kids, invest, and perhaps start a charity for children who need a good home. Oh and I'm sure I'd have to give Brynn some since she claims if I make too much money I owe her (so far this hasn't been a problem).
3 of my bad habits:
1. Procrastinating EVERYTHING (refer to the comment about my taxes)
2. I've become a selective showerer (I only shower if I HAVE to go somewhere -- this doesn't include quick trips to the store, bank or post office though)
3. I yell at my parents dog too much (poor Tippy)
5 places I have lived:
1. In my parents house (funny how life comes full circle as they say)
2. Springville in our new home, though it was short lived
3. Boise in my very first house I bought
4. Boise in the "Denton" house with 6 other girls--- where I met Holly and I'm soo glad too sista!
5. Boise in an apartment all alone -- Yikes that was scary, but Jay and I became good friends late at night so I wouldn't hear funny noises.
This list goes on and on...that doesn't cover any of college where my favorite was an apartment complex in Provo called Brookview. I had a roomate who prayed more than I eat (that's a lot) she had a yeast infection and it made our room smell, so I slept on the couch eveynight, and my sister Brynn lived below me and felt she had free reign to any of my belongings...what a strange place it was. Anyway "moving" on....
5 jobs I have had:
1. Worked at home doing some programing/scripting for FSBO leaders
2. Worked at HP surfing the net and IMing Brynn, as John claims but all under the title of Software Engineer
3. Worked as a TA in the CS labs at BYU -- poor students, I should not have been a TA
4. Worked for FlipDog.com as an intern programming and also as a tester- those were good times
5. Worked for Albertson's as a cashier - I was fast(if I may brag about something) and now slow cashiers really annoy me!!!
This list goes on and on too...tutor, cemetery crew, bingo parlor (yes Brynn I called it a parlor), weed crew, paint crew, and of course the GR star stuffing the papers.
5 things people don't know about me:
1. I was born with a broken collar bone
2. When I was young I wanted to be a famous singer when I grew up -- that must have been before I realized what a terrible singer I am
3. I'm addicted to Prison Break (my family knows this but not most people)
4. I took clogging when I was growing up and even won a trophy (about 6 inches tall -- I know quite an accomplishment)
5. I would love to own a wood shop and actually be able to build things.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!
We had some pretty good storms a few weeks ago so I decided to teach Kynadi how to build a snowman. Unfortunately the snow was the wrong kind of snow, so all we managed to be able to build was a little miniature snowman. It worked out great though so Kynadi could reach everything. The face was made out of dog food and a carrot of course, which was apparently just what the deer were looking for, because the next morning the "face" and "buttons" were completely gone. So we had the faceless snowman!
Living with a Dog
Not much to say except this is how Kynadi walks around my parents house so that Tippy (their dog) doesn't get her food. I think it is so funny. I can't count the number of times I have seen Kynadi traveling through the kitchen with her food above her head like this. I had to take a picture!! It makes me laugh everytime I see it.
Sorry the picture is the wrong way, I didn't realize is was turned, but it takes to long to upload it so that's how it will have to stay.
Brooklyn Updates
Brooklyn is getting so big. She has her bottom two teeth now (she got those at about 5 months) and her top teeth are trying to come in. She is trying sooo hard to crawl but all she has managed to do is to get on all fours and rock back and forth, usually ending in a face plant. Within the last few weeks she has finally starting sitting for long periods of time without falling over. She has definately turned into a happy little baby (of course I am her mother!). My favorite thing is to watch her watch Kynadi. Nothing makes her happier. Many mornings Brooklyn will wake up and just be playing in the crib happily and Kynadi will go over to see her and she just grins and smiles even more. It's soo cute to see how much they like each other. Brooklyn will giggle and laugh at Kynadi more than anything else. Kynadi was just jumping on the bed the other day and Brooklyn thought it was the funniest thing. So cute! One of these days I will get it on camera, but no luck so far.
Anyway, that is a bit of an update on Brooklyn. Not so exciting to read, but as her mother I wanted the little facts and time tables written somewhere so I wouldn't forget.
Christmas Trip
For Christmas this year John convinced me that we should go to Texas and spend it with his family. I was a bit hesitant but since two of my sisters weren't going to make it home for Christmas I decided maybe it was only fair that we spend ONE Christmas in Texas. That may be the only one he gets though:)...good thing it was fun.
We were there for almost two weeks and compared to the weather here, it was so nice there. Between the weather and housing prices it wouldn't have taken much for John to convince me to move there...Maybe!! Anyway the biggest problem with the trip is that we remembered to bring our camera, but forgot the battery charger so we got these pictures of the girls first time on an airplane, but that was all the battery held out for.
Our trip was lots of fun. Kynadi was excited that we actually got to go the park in Texas since there was no snow on the ground. John's parents live right by a park and his sister Tammy does too so the park was a big hit for Kynadi. Plus having her cousins around to play with all the time was also exciting.
I'd write more about it but both kids are awake now so my time is limited. Maybe I'll add more later.

Family Pictures
I thought it would be a good idea to get our family picture taken since we've NEVER had one, so while we were down in Utah we tried to do it. Kynadi was not cooperating at all!!! I can't blame her too much though, she had a fever and wasn't feeling well at all. But here
's how they turned out anyway.
