It's a Boy!

It's true...we just found out yesterday we are having a boy! John and I are both pretty excited. Another girl would have been nice just to save on money since I have BINS, and BINS of girl clothes, girl bedding for the crib with matching decore, ect. but maybe this boy will just have to like lace and pink (just a joke). I guess our "sports room" stuff will come in handy now! Anyway, here are some pics from the ultra sound. The doc said, he is small right now, only measure like he is 17.5 weeks, instead of the 18.5 they thought he was. So I go in for another ultra sound in a little over a month. Ok...so onto the pics.
These last two pics made it pretty obvious that a boy is on the way!

Kynadi Says the Darndest Things

Kyandi has gotten used to sleeping on our bedroom floor and I finally told her that she had to sleep in her own bed from then on. Well that lasted two days and then last night I told her since I had bins out in her room and it was a mess, she could sleep on her "pillow train" she had made on my bedroom floor. So of course she did. Well tonight I was telling her it was time to get ready for bed.

A few minutes later she said, "mom it was really nice of you to let me sleep on your bedroom floor last night...thank you" Pause, and then, "so mommy can you be really nice tonight and let me sleep there again?". How young they learn! What a sly little kid, butter me up and then go in for the punch. :)

Haircut

I got a new haircut and my mom wanted me to post these so Morgan can see how she wants her haircut. This is the shortest it's EVER been. Not sure how I feel yet.

Simple Prayer

Tonight we knelt down to say our family prayers. Brooklyn was already asleep, and Kynadi volunteered to say the prayer..if mommy would help. So it starts as any normal prayer would... then I helped her by saying, "bless Brooklyn that she will feel better". This was Kynadi's interpetation...."bless Brooklyn to feel better, she is my sister, (pause), because she is a little fuss bucket" I burst out laughing, John had to quickly end the pray and Kynadi was confused at the the commotion between Mom busting her gut and Dad finishing the prayer for her.
Yikes, another instant of Kynadi listening too closely to what I say.. now I'm really going to have to watch what I say if she's going to repeat it in a prayer...grateful it wasn't at church. :)

Bingo Parlor Date

Quick Post. Last night John and I decided to go out at the last minute. We weren't sure what to do...the joys of a small town. But, finally thought of going to play some Bingo. It was pretty fun. I hadn't been into a bingo place since I worked there in high school. It brought back a lot of memories. For working at a Bingo place I sure was clueless about everything--it has been awhile I guess.
Well, we didn't win a thing! But I was one number away on the black-out game - $300 prize, and John was one number away on the "IRS" ? game. Guess it just wasn't our night, but honestly how can you compete with those Bingo crazed people with 10 sheets of cards dobbing like crazy. Call us gamblers if you'd like, we really just went to have something to do together, but I can definately see how it could be addictive. Sorry Lucky Bucks, I can't visit too often!

The Kubaleks have left the building...

Well, after about a month and a half stay here in GR, the Kubaleks left today. The way Brynn drives me bonkers you'd think it wouldn't bother me so much (just a joke BRYNN), but I already have wondered what we'll do tomorrow. During the time she's been here we really did do a lot. We celebrated 5 birthdays, went skating, to the water park, story time weekly (which was usually followed by lunch at McD's), went to the circus, cheer camp, had a garage sale (thanks for all the help Brynn...sarcasim!), went to a Primary activity, Stadium of Fire, Flaming Gorge Days --this time for real thanks for all the help Mom and Brynn, a couple trips to the mall (Brynn many more!), bowling, had a talent show, and lots of chasing and feeding kids every day. Morgan and Joe were here for a week while she was here, and Mindy and Kelsey have visited while she's been here too-Kelsey twice I think.
John even made some comment last night about how we did something together EVERY day, and how he couldn't believe it. I told him, if it were him and his brother in charge of the kids each day they would too, but he told me he wouldn't do something with them EVERY day -- so Richard and Andrew, feel the love!
Anyway, it has been lots of fun, and I'm pretty sure we'll twiddle our thumbs tomorrow, not knowing what to do since we can't, "go to Grandma's and play with [our] cousins" as Kynadi would request we do every morning. Kelsey even left today so EVERYONE visiting will be gone. OH, I just saw the little picture of Landen, Brynn left for Kynadi and it makes me cry...I want him to jump on me and try to pull my pants down already :) Ok, I'm going to stop thinking about it now. Well, anyway we hope you make it back to England safe Kubaleks, we really do miss you already!
Oh, since I'm already on a sad note, I'm going to write about what Kynadi said to me before Brynn and them ever came to visit...just so I remember.
Well, I would tell Kynadi how Corbyn and Landen moved to England now and that it is far, far away. So one day we were on a walk and she suggested we take this path to get home. I told her that it wasn't the way home and that it would take us far from our home. And she simply asked, "so is that where Corbyn and Landen live?" So sweet, but unfortuneately I had to explain to her that they lived even further away than that. It was sad just the way she asked, almost in hopes that if we took that path we could make it to them.

Cheerleading Camp

I know most people that know me would be surprised that I even agreed, much less suggested, my daughter go to a cheeleading camp, but every basketball game I took Kynadi to this last season she just loved to be there to watch the cheerleaders. A few times she even tried to show me what they did by nodding her head to get her hair to shake and clapped her hands. Pretty funny. So anyway, since Brynn was here and Kelsey was up visiting I thought it would be a fun thing for the girls to do. So Brynn and I signed Corby, Kelsey, and Kynadi up for the three day camp. It seemed like the biggest hastle. Landen attacked me on the side lines most of the time (oh I already miss him) laughing and having a good old time at Brynn's request. As well as I had to try to contain little miss Brooklyn, and kept having to scold Kynadi because she kept running away from her class and not listening. I really didn't think she enjoyed it that much, but all she has done the last few days is jump on her bed and cheer-- she mostly likes to do it on my bed so she can watch herself in the mirror.
Anyway, here are some videos of the girls doing their routines. In the first video Corbyn is 3rd from the left and Kynadi is the 4th. The second video Kynadi takes a solo act -- what is she doing!?! :) Sorry it is such a shakey video I was laughing pretty hard. The last one is of Kelsey (who was in an older group) and this, I think, was her favorite cheer. Don't worry Mindy I have them all burned to a disk already, and has been sent with Kels.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKLYN!!

Today is Brooklyn's 1st Birthday. What a sweet little girl Brooklyn is. It seems so weird that it's been a year, and then it's hard to think of life without her. She is such a happy, content little baby now. I was a bit nervous about her when she first entered this world, but what a cute little thing she is. I can't help but smile thinking about her. Almost every morning she wakes me up with her cute little voice, garbling away. When I walk in she has the biggest smile on her face. I love starting my day that way. What a blessing she is in our family!! I love her to pieces!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKLYN !!! I've posted a few pics, and I love the video of her playing with, examining I should say, her new toy, because John gets her laugh in there!! Cute, Cute!
I love the look she has on her face in the picture opening Brynn's HOMEMADE (need I say more) present -- Priceless
The second picture I love because it captures her "oooooo" expression. She always does this when looking at things.

4th of July Celebration

Our 4th of July was quite eventful. We got up, and headed to my mom's house for quite possibly a new traditional breakfast. I'll call it the red, white, and blue start your 4th of July right breakfast. It consisted of red waffles, blue eggs, and of course white milk to send it all down. Very festive! Your welcome family for the great food!

Anyway, after breakfast we debated (FOR HOURS) whether or not we should go to Stadium of Fire. We weren't Miley Cirus fans as much as Stadium of Fire fans. Mindy and Kels were here and had already gotten tickets, but Brynn and I weren't sure we wanted to make the trek with two small children each, staying up way past their bed times. To make a long story short, we found, I should say John found, us some tickets and we decided at the last minute to head to Utah for the show.

Well, we started the show by parking FOREVER away from the stadium and then hauled the kids in the crowds. Talk about a workout. By the time I sat down I was stinky and sweaty and exhausted. Well, the kids didn't do too bad during the show. Although ten minutes after being there Kynadi told me she wanted to go home...that made me feel great about blowing so much money for her ticket!! My favorite part was the F-16's that fly right above the stadium to start the show off right. There's just something about it that makes you proud to be an American (just as the song says) This was a bit too loud for Kynadi though and scared her a bit. Anyway, we got to see the Blue Man Group. I thought they were pretty cool. I'd love to see them for a full show. Then Miley Cirus came out on stage. People went crazy...except the people in our row--ME, Brynn, Kynadi, Corbyn, Landen, and Brooklyn!! The sound was TERRIBLE. So the concert wasn't that enjoyable. The best part was Corbyn and Kynadi dancing on the steps in the isle. Too Cute. Well, the show of course ended with a fire work show. The kids were getting tired and cranky at this point so we decided to take off right before the finally to beat the crowds. Talk about the ridiculous hike back to the car. Every child wanted to be held! YIKES

I was holding my diaper bag with three blankets, Brooklyn who was falling asleep in my harms, and Kynadi up on my shoulders...not to mention the kid inside of me (I just put that to see how many people actually read everything I write) :) It was quite the site. Brynn was dealing with the same type of situation with her two kids only no diaper bag and no kid inside her. Anyway, it was funny, tiring and frustrating all at the same time. We finally gave up the hike. Brynn dumped the kids with me to wait on the side of the road and she ran the marathon back to the car and then came and picked us up. We would have been out of there in no time, except for MINDY!!! She had seats in a different section and we had no idea where she was, which wouldn't have been such a big deal, but the kids didn't all fit in my car with their car seats. So then began the search for Mindy. Anyway, this blog is already containing to much detail and too long, so needless to say, our leaving early didn't pay off at all and we were still stuck in traffic FOREVER with screaming children, half of which had no seat belts.

So that was our 4th of July. Kind of fun, a little hectic and completly exhausting. The 4th is still one of my favorite holidays. I love the patriotism. Unlike herself, Brynn posted quite a nice post about 4th of July on her blog and I'll just second that here.
